Chrysler Hybrid Cars.
With the high price of gas and the trend towards lowering emissions, Chrysler is coming out with a hybrid version of the Aspen. Chrysler will be introducing the Aspen HEMI Hybrid in September 2009.
The Aspen HEMI Hybrid will be powered by a 5.7-litre HEMI V8 that's equipped with a cylinder-deactivation system. When the engine is not sollicitated, it shuts down 4 cylinders, which reduces fuel consumption.
Total combined output is 385 horsepower and 381 lb-ft of torque. This powertrain is mated to a continuously-variable transmission (CVT), which provides even greater fuel economy.
