Honda Insight Hybrid Car
The Honda Insight is a unique two-passenger hybrid electric vehicle. The 2000 model was first introduced in the USA in 1999. It's fuel efficience reached close to 70 mpg.
The Honda Insight uses hybrid technology, optimized aerodynamics and a lightweight aluminum structure -- all to maximize fuel efficiency and minimize emissions. The Insight was the first mass-produced hybrid automobile sold in the USA.
The Honda Insight is Honda’s first hybrid vehicle and many of the technologies incorporated into the vehicle were subsequently introduced on the Civic Hybrid and Accord Hybrid.
The Insight has a body made from aluminum alloy. This results in the Insight being about 50% lighter than if it were made from steel and this is a big factor in allowing the vehicle to achieve its impressive fuel performance.
